Forces are optimally applied between the solid steel gear and sturdy pawl, ensuring loads are in compression rather than shear. The low-carbon steel gears feature a rugged tooth design for a large contact area with the pawl. Mounting holes are provided in the body, and keyways adhere to ANSI/ASME B17.1 standards. Lubrication is recommended every 1200 hours of operation. Special orders can be made with custom size, shape, and tooth arrangements. A fully locked neutral position is standard, with a free running neutral position available upon request. The durable construction is made of cast iron, with custom models available. Proudly made in the USA.
